The trouble with our desks is that they're not cluttered enough. That's just one one reason to buy this $7 pink ball of crap from Uxsight.com. Just plug it into your PC's USB port, and the plastic dongle gets warm and vibrates.

Elecom Mouse with Wind Up Cord

When you are on the go, having the right portable electronics can always make life a whole lot easier. Part of that is just taking into account what you need and finding what fits you. The same portable electronics don’t work for everyone. Thankfully, there’s a lot of variety out there. Well if you need a mouse for your laptop but don’t want a cordless one, this would make for a great gadget to pick up. It has the cord, but it is able to store the cord away, which means less of a tangled mess at the bottom of your laptop bag.

It has a rubber portion that flips up and underneath that is where the USB cord can be conveniently wrapped up. As of now the mouse isn’t out just yet, but it will be out at the end of July. Which means you won’t have long to wait. You can pre-order it now though for about $42 from GeekStuff4U.

Alarm Clock with Pen Holder and Speaker

Here’s a weird-looking convergence device - alarm clock, pen holder, and speaker - that might work for anyone who needs to write things down in the middle of the night. Maybe you’re a stand-up comedian who thinks up jokes while in a sleep-like state, a famous writer, or you just need to document your aggressive night terrors before you drift back off to whatever fresh hell awaits you in your dreams.

It features lots of stuff crammed in a pipey tube: thermometer, “natural sounds” alarm, 3.5mm audio input jack, two USB ports that allow the unit to be powered via PC (it can use AAA batteries too) and, of course, it holds pens! Probably also pencils. Perhaps small screwdrivers as well.

Blue Octopus Notebook USB Cooling Pad

This is by far the most interesting looking laptop cooler I’ve seen around. Sadly it goes under your laptop, so even though it looks really good, it’s not going to be seen a whole lot. The odd shape of this USB cooler is inspired by an octopus. Although I’d say it’s incredibly debatable as to whether or not it actually looks like an octopus. It does at least draw one’s attention, all the while it keeps your laptop much more cool.

It has a dual fan, so will hopefully be enough for even the laptops that tend to be burning hot. When it’s not actually in use, it can be folded up for easy storage. That also means that it will be much easier to slip it into your laptop bag and take it with you when you’re on the go. To keep the fan up and running, just plug it into the USB port on your laptop. It’s a pretty basic gadget, but it can make things much easier on you. You can purchase it for $11.69 from UXSight.com.

Cute Fruit USB Webcams

Most of us have one but never really take much notice to it until we need to use it. Webcams as we have come to know them are typically small, made up of metal or plastic and range in a number of shapes and sizes but they do share a commonality - their appearance can be rather boring.

Thankfully technology companies have developed ways to enhance the web-camming experience. Here are 3 fun and appealing webcams that may just get you to abandon your boring black Web cam:

1. Watermelon USB Webcam

If you have a thing for fruity gadgets, here’s a web camera that should get you excited. The Watermelon USB Webcam features an 8.0 Mega pixel resolution camera with a frame rate of 30 frames per sec. It can be yours for only $12.69.

2. Apple USB Webcam

This 8.0 Mega Pixel Apple USB Webcam is a perfect desktop accessory for children and adults alike. Put it on the top of your monitor and enjoy. It retails for $12.69.

3. Pear USB Webcam

This Pear USB Webcam is sure to march into the hearts of many. It is a must have for anyone who loves cute. All yours for $12.69.

These devices could take something that was ugly and functional on your desktop and turn it into something cute and decorative if you so choose. You can find more novel webcams online at Uxsight.com.

Wireless Keyboard with Multitouch Trackpad

Brando may be best known for some of its slightly off the wall products, but it also carries plenty of less fanciful gadgets, like this HTPC-minded keyboard with a still relatively uncommon built-in multitouch trackpad. As you can sorta see above, that also doubles as the numeric keypad, and you can switch between the two functions at the press of a button, but not a swipe, apparently. Otherwise, you'll get a 2.4GHz RF USB transmitter that can be tucked into the keyboard itself if you don't feel like actually using it, along with 18 presumably customizable hotkeys, and support for Windows XP and Vista, but not Macs. $69 and it's yours.

Mini Apple Shaped Speaker

We have seen a number of different shaped mini speakers. And the new apple shaped mini speaker is the latest entrant to join this league. The cool all black apple shaped speaker will play your favorite tunes by using a 3.5mm plug that hooks into your MP3 player. It also includes a USB cable that can be wired into your PC. But the functions of this speaker are not just limited to playing out your favorite tunes, when attached to the neck strap (which is included), it transforms into a stylish accessory. (As long as you can carry off an apple dangling around your neck that is). It will definitely be fun dancing to the sounds blaring out form the apple.

This Mini Apple Shaped Speaker weighs 85g and bears a price tag of $9.99.

Mini Roll Up USB PS/2 Waterproof Silicone Keyboard

This Mini Roll Up Waterproof Silicone Keyboard costs only $14.99 but it can be pure fun for those who adore everything hot, new and highly-functional. The one thing apart from its silicone touch I love about it is its convenience – you can take the keyboard and work on it anywhere you want.

The keyboard is made by high-quality silicone, that has no smell and a touch-pleasing one. The keyboard can be used for both - a damp environment and even inside shallow water. What is more, you can easily spill some liquids on it and nothing will happen. NOTHING!

The manufacturer claims that there is no risk the keyboard can become dust inside since it is a completely dust-proof one. Fog and acid or alkaline environments are not a problem for it as well.

19 Keys USB Numeric Keypad with Space Bar

This is a great numeric keyboard except for one thing: the all too obvious space button on the side. How often do you actually use the space button while using a numeric keypad, I wonder. The USB-powered keypad measures 148 x125 x 15mm, and features 19 standard keys, on top of the redundant space bar. Available for $9.69 at Uxsight.com.
